What's the story behind your Derby Number?

The PLU # for Bananas is 4011. Unfortunately, that was too long to write on my arms. I was getting insubordination penalties for not leaving the track when officials called me “40” or “11”. I shortened it to 40 so they wouldn’t kick me off the team.

Why Derby?

There’s really nothing else like it. You are in a space where you can be you and no matter what your ability, you are valuable here. I believe in the virtues of this organization and their unwavering support of our queer community.

What's your favorite thing about Fox Cities Roller Derby?

FCRDs ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and be humbled by new experiences. Their willingness to come to the table, have hard conversations, learn from and mentor each other.

What position or role do you have with the League?

I plan our games and oversee our practice structure. I’ve also been captain and I can pivot on a good day.

What are you most excited about this year?

I’m most excited to be more involved with the leaders of Appleton and the fox cities and play in the expo center which shares our name!

Eggs and butter toast
