What's the story behind your Derby Number?

My original number was 1701, the registry number for Star Trek's USS Enterprise. I shortened it 17 in 2017 after playing with Jet City in Washington State.

Why Derby?

Originally it was a drunken dare with two friends in 2012. Since then it's been a family, a nationwide circle of friends, and the chance to be part of a team. Also hitting. Lots and lots of hitting.

What's your favorite thing about Fox Cities Roller Derby?

I've been a part of 4 different leagues, and I love the people in this league. They have always, always been there for me, no matter what.

What position or role do you have with the League?

I'm a skater, typically a dedicated jammer. Last year I was assistant coach, and I still love running practices and discussing strategy.

What are you most excited about this year?

Dedicated playing with my friends again after "retiring" in 2019!

What is your bout day food or snack?

Pizza after. I still can't really eat before a bout!
