What's the story behind your Derby Number?

I used to be number 22 in basketball and my husband's race car number is 11. I thought 1111 would be a cool way to pay homage to both numbers at once.

Why Derby?

I have loved skating since I was 3. I spent a lot of years rollerblading with every free moment of my time as a kid into my teenage years. As I got older I really missed the physical exercise and mental freedom of skating. I figured derby was an interesting spin on an old love.

How did you get your derby name?

A friend of mine helped me think of it because of my love of the moon

Where are you from?

riginally from Reedsville, WI. But I live in Manitowoc, WI now

What is your occupation outside of roller derby?

Massage Therapist

What has roller derby taught you that you apply in your daily life?

That I can do a lot of things that I might not think I'm initially capable of.

Do you have any game day rituals or lucky charms?

I pretend it's just any other day not bout day to keep myself from getting too nervous.
