What do you love about derby?

I love the feeling of being totally in the moment. The freedom, fun, and release in skating and game play. I also love the people that make up the roller derby community. It is a beautiful counter culture of people from all walks of life, willing to play this crazy contact sport on roller skates.

How did you get your derby name?

My former derby name was Natural Born Chaos. I stopped playing in 2014 and now have joined again ten years later. It is a fun call back to my former name and a little joke about joining this crazy sport again as an older skater.

Do you have any game day rituals or lucky charms?

I usually try and eat a healthy meal and take some energizing and nutritious supplements. I usually have a lucky rock or two I may bring with me!
