What do you love about derby?

I love that derby accepts you as you are. Any body type, fitness level, skating level, the sport will meet you where you are at. I never thought I would be playing a full contact team sport in my 30’s let alone absolutely loving every second of track time.

How did you get your derby name?

I am a X Files fanatic, and Dana Scully is my favorite character of all time, I had to incorporate her name!

What is your occupation outside of roller derby?

I am an Admin Assistant for Winnebago County

What has roller derby taught you that you apply in your daily life?

Patience. Derby is a very challenging sport and it has taught me to have patience for myself in learning skills, as well as having patience for others on the track.

A no-fizz peach and green tea Celsius and a tuna sandwich
