What's the story behind your Derby Number?

Absolutely none. I looked at the roster and tried to come up with one different from all the others so I wouldn't get confused on the track.

Why Derby?

Nikity Split approached me at the gym, complimented my leggings, and invited me to try out roller derby. Since day one I could tell that this was going to be for me. The physical nature of the sport, the camaraderie amongst team members, and the opportunities to strive for continual growth had me from the start.

What's your favorite thing about Fox Cities Roller Derby?

Personal growth and development - I always had a negative association with sports from my middle school days as I was overweight and it was very challenging for me. FCRD has allowed me to repair that association by being a positive influence in my life when it comes to sports. I enjoy the physical challenge each practice; the workouts are intense and I leave feeling better than when I walked in :)

What position or role do you have with the League?

I am the Financial Oversight Board member.

What are you most excited about this year?

I hear there are some vets returning this year that did not play my first full official season and I am excited to get to know the new people, vets and freshies, and continue strengthening our team and building bonds on the track and off.

What is your bout day food or snack?

Gimme all the snacks! Last year some one of my teammates brought candy to eat at half time and called them "magical beans" which I thoroughly enjoyed. Little sugar kick!

What flower or plant would you want to be most?

Sunflower because they are my favorite color and remind me of summertime.
